The main hallway and light fixtures were saved in the renovations.	Many of the existing design elements such as lighting fixtures, special window systems, and casework, were saved and incorporated into the newly renovated spaces. Specialty spaces required technology upgrades, climate and lighting controls, as well as the accommodation of highly specialized equipment.

The Linear Accelerator needed customized casework to hold blocks. Nelson Associates provided full architectural and engineering services, which included accommodating specialized equipment. Design staff met with Owners and users to finish each of these specialized spaces, examining rooms and physician offices.
